The Town of Hampton, as shiretown of Kings County, has a rich heritage and culture. It boasts such historical buildings as the Court House, Kings County Gaol, Saint Paul's Church and Loyalist Burial Ground and many Heritage Homes. There is also the Kings County Museum which houses an extensive collection of artifacts.
The Kennebecasis River flows through Hampton and provides an excellent opportunity for boating enthusiasts with an easily accessible public launch site.
Anglers can enjoy fishing for salmon, striped bass, smallmouth bass, sea-run brook trout, sturgeon, gaspereau, pickerel and perch.
For bird-watching enthusiasts the Hampton Marsh is recognized as one of the most fertile and productive wetland systems in New Brunswick! There you may see teal, ducks, rails, yellow throats, bitterns, eagles, ospreys, crane and many other species. For Nature enthusiasts and Photographers, Moose, beaver, otter and muskrat also use these wetlands as foraging areas.
Hampton is situated on one end of the "St. Martins Trail" - part of the "Ossekeag Trails" system. This 45 Km (27 Mi.) trail provides a marvellous walking/hiking opportunity to explore covered bridges, walk a foot bridge, take in the beautiful scenery of the Hammond River Valley, catch a glimpse of salmon in a pool, travel coastal hills then stop, relax and drink in the cool salt air! For a close-up map of the trail, click here! The Inn is adjacent to the Town Park which includes sections of The Trans Canada Trail - a popular spot summer and winter. The Town of Hampton keeps the trail open "all Winter".

For pre-arranged special events or business meetings, if the area activities, pristine countryside and overwhelming charm of our Inn have not persuaded you hold your event(s) with us, then our dining fare will!
Bamara Inn boasts a special function dinner menu that will make your mouth water - and that includes the diet conscious, as we have special "Low-cal" plates to offer!
Appetizer choices include Escargots, Shrimp Scampi, Pan Fried Oysters, Bacon Broiled Scallops, Caesar Salad, "Bamara's Salad", Shrimp Spinach Salad and Turkey Salad with Feta Cheese.
For Entrées, choose from our tantalizing Seafood selection of Grilled Trout, Atlantic Salmon, Sole Fillets or Broiled Lobster.
If your taste preference is beef, try our T-Bone Steak, Pepper Steak or Filet Mignon. For Pork lovers, Breaded Pork Tenderloin or Pork Chops à L'orange - a culinary delight!
There are also Lamb Chops, Traditional Roast Turkey and Lemon Chicken on Spinach Leaves. Low-cal plates include Chef's Salad and Fruit Salad.
As you can see, virtually every taste is accommodated. Our fare is tastefully prepared and exquisitely presented.
